Photovoltaic box transformer is a specialized distribution facility that boosts the voltage of 0.27kV or 0.315kV from photovoltaic grid connected inverters to 10kV or 35kV through a step-up transformer, and outputs electrical energy upward through 10kV or 35kV lines. It is an ideal supporting equipment for photovoltaic power generation systems.

The size of the box type substation for photovoltaic power generation and the number of internal switch cabinets are related to the voltage that needs to be stepped up. The higher the voltage level, the more cabinets inside the box. Generally, the final decision can be made based on the design drawings provided by the design institute.

Compared with conventional substations with the same capacity and load, 10kV photovoltaic box type substations occupy less land, reduce investment by about 40% to 50%, and save more than 100000 to 200000 yuan. The transformer used

The box type transformer adopts low loss, oil immersed, fully sealed S9, S10, S11 series transformers, or environmentally friendly dry-type transformers with resin insulation or NOMEX paper insulation. The bottom can be equipped with a small car, and the transformer can be easily accessed.

High voltage side

The high-voltage side is generally protected by a combination of load switch and fuse. After one phase of the fuse is blown, the three phases are interlocked and tripped. The load switch can be selected from compressed air, vacuum, sulfur hexafluoride and other types, and can be equipped with an electric operating mechanism to achieve automation upgrade. The fuse is a high-voltage current limiting fuse with an impactor, which is reliable in action and has a large breaking capacity. For transformers above 800kVA, vacuum circuit breakers such as ZN12 and ZN28.VS1 can be used for protection.

Low voltage side

The low-voltage side main switch adopts universal or intelligent circuit breakers for selective protection. The outgoing switch adopts a new type of plastic shell switch, which is small in size, short in arcing, and can reach 30 circuits; Intelligent automatic tracking reactive power compensation device, with two switching modes for users to choose from: contactor and non-contact.
